October is here and that means that Halloween is in the air! To celebrate, True Myth Media is proud to announce it’s largest series to date: 31 Nights of Thrills! Throughout the month of October we’ll be posting reviews every day, covering all sorts of horror films- classic or contemporary, super scary or slightly silly- we’ve tried to cover it all, so that no matter what your preference we’ll have something for you! This post will update daily with links to our latest reviews and podcasts, so be sure to check back frequently! We’ve tried to arrange the films by themes, so that each day covers a sort of subset of the horror genre! If you have a film you think we’d enjoy, send us a message! We’d love to hear from you!
October 1st: A Dario Argento Spotlight:

Allegra Gellar, a world famous game designer, and Ted Pikul, a marketing trainee, go on the run after reality enthusiast assassins try to kill Allegra.
10. Rabid (1977)
After a motorcycle accident and subsequent experimental plastic surgery, a woman develops a strange disease that makes her thirst for blood.
The greedy members of the Remington family gather to celebrate the birthdays of their two elderly aunts whom posses an enormous fortune. But after opening a gift from their estranged nephew, things get a little out of control.
October 3rd: Crazy Stories

October 4th: Crazy Stories PT II

A man named Jozef visits a sanatorium where his father is staying, only to find that within its walls, time doesn't behave the way it should.
A Vietnam veteran struggles to maintain his sanity as he’s bombarded with delusions that might be the result of something happened during the war.
October 5th: Benson and Moorhead
“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown”- H.P. Lovecraft (quoted in “The Endless”)
A man travels to an isolated cabin to help his estranged best friend overcome meth addiction, only to find the cabin might hold dark secrets.
17. Spring (2014)
After Evan looses his Mom and his job in the same week, he heads to Italy, where he meets Louise, a seemingly perfect girl. But underneath her skin, Louise hides a secret.
Two brothers return to a cult they left when they were teenagers, only to discover the cult might not be as crazy as they once seemed.
October 6th: Horror Films About Making Horror Films
“Nobody has seen this horror before.” -”Berberian Sound Studio”
A British sound engineer travels to Italy to help finish a horror film, only to find working on the film is a literal nightmare.
The filming of “Nosferatu” (1922) is complicated by the demands and habits of lead actor Max Schreck.
October 7th: Anthology Films
“It’s close to midnight, somethin’ evil’s lurking from the dark…”- Michael Jackson’s Thriller
21. Kwaidan (1964)
Kobayashi’s beautiful anthology film of four Japanese folk tales with supernatural themes.
A Professor bent on debunking popular ghost stories and psychics is given a file of three cases that a ghost expert couldn’t crack.
October 8th: Spooky Spells
“The Kabbalah is an exploration of god. We’re doing something much darker…”- “A Dark Song”
A young woman teams up with an occultist to attempt a dangerous but powerful ritual; in doing so they risk their lives and souls.
A father and son coroner team performs an autopsy on a body of an unknown woman discovered at a crime scene, only to find her body harbors some grim secrets.
October 9th: Strange Sanatoriums
“Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead.”- Charles Bukowski
25. Unsane (2018)
A young woman is involuntarily committed to a mental institution, believing her stalker has purposefully brought her there. Is it all in her head, or is it really happening?
A wealthy young executive is sent to a retreat in the Swiss Alps to retrieve his company’s CEO, only to find the spa where the CEO is staying might hold some dark secrets.
October 10th: Puppet Master
"I have no strings to hold me down, to make me fret, or make me frown.”- “Pinocchio”
A group of psychics attend a funeral for an old colleague, only to be attacked by murderous sentient puppets.
A comic book writer travels to a convention where he hopes to sell a rare puppet, but the puppet has other intentions.
October 11th: Silent Hill
“Fire doesn’t cleanse, it blackens!”- “Silent Hill”
A young girl’s recurring nightmares about Silent Hill, the place she was born, prompts he mother to take her to take her daughter there, only to find that Silent Hill is not at all what they thought it might be.
Years after the events of the first Silent Hill, Sharon Da Silva is called back to the decrepit town to save her father.
A small group of scientists and military officers hide out in an underground bunker, trying to figure out a cure for the zombie plague, and fearing they might be the only ones left alive on earth.
During a zombie outbreak, a group of survivors team up in a mall.
October 13th: Sinister Ceremonies

44. Baskin (2015)
A squad of cops are called to an isolated building, only to find that there is a group of nefarious occupants.
A hospice nurse moves into a home outside New Orleans to take care of an elderly man and his wife, only to find the house holds some secrets.
October 14th: Serial Killers in Victorian Era London

As famed musician Elizabeth Cree awaits her death sentence for the apparent murder of her husband, Inspector Kildare investigates a series of murders that might coincide with Cree’s husband.

49. Cold Fish (2010)
After a man’s daughter is caught stealing at a store and a friendly storeowner steps in to help, the man and the storeowner strike up a friendship. But when the storeowner asks the man for a favor, things take a very dark turn.
50. Apostle (2018)
A man journeys to an island that is home to a cult in an attempt to rescue his sister.
October 16th: Horror Films about Sisters

51. Sisters (1972)
A journalist witnesses a murder in a nearby apartment, but the police find no evidence of any wrongdoing, so the journalist takes matters into her own hands.
A South Korean film about a family haunted by the ghosts of their past.
October 17th: Werewolves

Two American college students on a European holiday are attacked by a werewolf.

October 18th: Creepy Clowns

Aliens that look like clowns attack a small town.

In the summer of 1989, a group of outcast kids band together to fight a mysterious force that feeds on the children of the town.
October 19th: Cult Classic Musicals

A flower shop worker comes across an unusual species of plant that brings him great fortune, but at a great cost.

October 20th: Cannibal Musicals

A barber who has been wrongfully imprisoned for fifteen years returns to London to extract his revenge on the judge who wronged him.
A team of miners travels across the mountains only to be trapped in the winter. As the snows pile up the travelers are forced to turn to cannibalism, while singing!
October 21st: Grim Ghouls

61. Viy (1967)
A young priest is ordered to preside over the wake of a witch, whom he murdered, which means spending three nights alone in her mausoleum.
A married man suspects his wife is having an affair, only to find that something far more disturbing is taking place.
October 22nd: The Stranger You Think You Know

63. The Guest (2014)
A man arrives at the Peterson’s home, introducing himself as a soldier that served beside their son who died in action, but the man might be hiding some secrets.
A depressed concierge at an apartment complex in Spain makes it his life’s work to make his tenant’s lives as miserable as his, but one tenant in particular is incredibly jovial.
October 23rd: Vampire Cult Classics

After moving to a new town, two brothers find out the area is infested with vampires.
A publishing executive believes he’s turning into a vampire.
October 24th: Psycho Psychics

A monster hunter travels to Transylvania to stop Count Dracula from hatching an evil plan.

After a zombie is found on a sailboat off the New York coast, a journalist named Peter West and Anne Bowles, a daughter in search of her missing father, travel to a tropical island looking for answers.
A small Italian town is thrown into disarray after a series of child murders.
October 30th: Classic Monsters
